LDAP Accounts

Ubuntu Server Installation

We have found a 40 GB hard drive to run Ubuntu Server on, yay! We'd like to get a bigger hard drive donated to store the user's home directories. Once this install is over, we'll enable LDAP Authentication and let everyone with an LDAP account in. As I said in an earlier post, if you can find a way to confirm your identity, we will restore your home directory files, and also your MySQL database if you request it.

LDAP Authentication

I have successfully setup LDAP Authentication on uranium, meaning that you can now have Unified Login with Uranium, Carbon (once its back), the Wiki, Jabber, Email, and more. I'm heading over to the server soon, and I'm going to find a way to get Ubuntu Server installed on it. Once that's done, you'll be able to login to it with your LDAP Credentials if you have them already. If you can find a way of verifying your identity, we will restore your files from the backup we have. We will also be able to restore MySQL Databases on request.
